Reineking, Arthur William (21 AUG 1900 – 02 FEB 1994)
MADISON –
Arthur William Reineking, age 93, died on Wednesday, February 2, 1994, at St.
Mary’s Care Center, Madison, Wisconsin where he was a resident. He was born on
August 21, 1900 at Greenwood, Wisconsin to the late Marie Sophie (Dohmeyer)
Reineking and Ernest Wilhelm Reineking. He married Mable (Gray) Reineking on
March 27, 1923. She died on January 9, 1994. He was a cheesemaker all his adult
life until his retirement. He is survived by a son Harold (Marlene) Reineking,
of Madison; a daughter, Bernelda Nordness, of Madison; three grandchildren,
Michael (Kathy) Nordness, of Middleton, Wendy (Jerry) Stoker, Lynn (Tom)
Svetnicka, all of Madison; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew and Alexander
Nordness, of Middleton, Jeff Ripp, Stott and Matthew Stoker, Natalie and Anna
Svetnicka, all of Madison. Arthur was also preceded in death by his sisters,
Lydia Miller, Bertha Sebastian, Meda Vollrath, Amelia Decker, Hilda Becker, Ella
Steiger and Selma Reineking, also 2 brothers, Otto Reineking and an infant
brother. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Nordness. Funeral
services will be held at the Joyce Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Road at 1 p.m. on
Saturday, February 5, 1994. The Reverend Dyan LeVander will officiate with
burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on
Friday, February 4, 19994 at the funeral home.
