A company composed of W.A. Pounder, Anton Larson, Vic Hendrickson and Andrew Peterson organized for the purpose of carrying on a general meat market business, and opened their market in the Pfeifer building.

Heavy rains raised the water in Black river to such an extent that a drive of logs was in progress, which cleaned the river entirely of logs.

The plastering on the new bank building was completed.

Carpenters began work on the Presbyterian Church.
