A company composed of W.A. Pounder, Anton
Larson, Vic Hendrickson and Andrew Peterson organized for the purpose of
carrying on a general meat market business, and opened their market in the
Pfeifer building.
Heavy rains raised the water in Black river to such an
extent that a drive of logs was in progress, which cleaned the river entirely of
logs.
The plastering on the new bank building was completed.
Carpenters began work on the Presbyterian Church.
