Mrs. Oscar (Gladys)
Neeb, age 55, of the town of Loyal passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield at 8 a.m. Saturday, January 22, of a lingering illness.
The
former Gladys Cone was born February 23, 1910 at Loyal. May 29, 1935 she was
united in marriage to Oscar Neeb at Greenwood. Before her marriage she taught
school in the area. After their marriage they lived on a farm in the town of
Loyal.
Pallbearers were Edd Dobbe, Arnold Stumper, Ervin Schmidt, Earl
Zabel, Harold Cook and John Loos.
Mrs. Paul Doering was the soloist and
she sang “Under His Wings” and “Abide With Me.” Mrs. Ray Feldt was the organist.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements and the church
services were held on Tuesday, January 25 at 2 p.m.at the Loyal Methodist
Church, with the Rev. Paul Doering officiating. Burial was made in the Pine
Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Neeb held the offices of secretary and treasurer of
the Pine Grove Cemetery Association for many years.
She is survived by
her husband and two daughters Mrs. Jack (LaVaun) Heikkinen, Eveleth, Minnesota
and Mrs. Walter (Joyce) Wetzel, Neillsville; and one son Neil Neeb, Loyal. She
is also survived by her mother Mrs. Edna Cone, Loyal and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and one grandchild.
