Swierzynski, Anna (19 Aug 1879-28 Jan 1966)

Mrs. Anna Swierzynski, age 86, of Owen died of old age complications at the Clark County Hospital at 1 a.m. Friday, January 28.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 31, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal with the Rev. Norbert E. King officiating and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

The former Anna Spankiewic was born in Posen, Poland, August 19, 1879. She married Michael Swierzynski in Poland. They came to the United States and settled in Kewaunee County and a number of years later came to a farm in the town of Beaver. After the death of her husband in January 1946 she made her home in Thorp. The past fifteen years she has lived at the Clark County Hospital, Owen.

The pallbearers were Paul Bugar, Sylvester Rueth, Leomard Rueth, Albert Rueth,Charles Shechik, and Franklin Rueth.

She is survived by a son Adam of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children in infancy.

The following out of town relatives and friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Adam Swirczinski, Chicago, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Marton Brezinski, Miss Betty Brezinski, Mr. Walter Brezinski and Mrs. Helen Kuduk, Hawkins, Mr. Leon Lanlewski, Chippewa Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mrotek, Owen.
