Sleighs and bell made their first appearance this winter, this week.
Supervisor Fricke was in attendance at the annual meeting of the county board of
supervisors at Neillsville.
O.C. Behrens, who has been running a camp at
Bayfield, is home for a while. The storm last Thursday took out the dock where
they landed their logs and they were compelled to stop hauling for a time.
Buckwheater, the Gleaner's York correspondent, heaped coals of fire upon a
red-headed old maid correspondent for the Neillsville Press, and we wonder if
"red-head" took Buckwheater's advice.
