Levis (16 Mar 1916)
The Levis Sewing Circle and other
friends of Mr. and Mrs. E. Remus gave them a party Saturday evening in honor of
their 20th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Remus is much pleased over the silver
knives and forks presented her. Mr. Scoda of Shortville was at the party and
advertised the Aladdin mantle lamp and furnished light for the evening.
Miss Olga Speiser of Lynn is visiting at the home of J. Frei.
Johanna
Blum spent last Wednesday at the home of Frank Hemp in Neillsville.

Keller and wife visited at the home of John Keller Sunday.
Mrs. H. Lipke
and children returned Friday form a two weeks’ visit with relatives in
Neillsville and Grant. Her mother came with her for a short visit.
Mrs.
Frei and Miss Speiser called at the Stephens home Thursday.
Chas. Musil
sawed wood for L.H. Munson Wednesday.
Bennie Schroeder of Neillsville
spent the weekend with his grandparents, H. Blum and wife.
The Shortville
friends of A.J. Moldenhauer and family gave them a pleasant surprise party
Saturday evening.
M. Keller and wife spent Friday evening at the home of
F. Eggemen.
John Blum, wife and baby visited E. Remus and wife Sunday
evening.
Ph. Brothers was a guest at the home of L.H. Munson Monday and
Tuesday.
F.P. Hemp, wife and sons visited at the home of F. Kopp Sunday.
R. Bruss and wife of Grant spent Sunday at the home of C. Lipke.
Emilie Frei had an ingrown toenail removed last week, which had become very
troublesome.
Will Seelow, who has been working at Cottage Grove, was
taken to a hospital at Madison several weeks ago and operated upon for
appendicitis. He was in a very critical condition, but is convalescent.
