Shortville (16 Mar 1916)
“The Daughter of the Desert” at
the town hall Saturday night, March 18. Four acts, with good vaudeville between
acts. You cannot afford to miss it.
The Ladies Aid was well attended at
Mrs. Bell’s last Tuesday. Part of them liked the dinner so well that they stayed
for supper.
Encie Carter has been quite sick, but is better at this
writing.
Mrs. McPherson and Milton spent Sunday at H. Wall’s.
The
band boys have been practicing quite often lately. They expect to take in some
new members soon.
A. Kegley and family intend to leave in a short time.
The band boys certainly will miss Mr. Kegley.
We are glad to see Hans
Walk back on the route again.
Clara Frantz spent Saturday and Sunday at
home.
John Short visited Mr. and Mrs. Irish Sunday.
