Greenwood (9 July 1970)
Fran k Clouse, son of Mrs. Pearl Clouse of
Greenwood, graduated from Junior College in Phoenix, Ariz., with an associate
art degree. He is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree and will attend
the University-Phoenix this fall.
Einar Jackson was admitted Sunday to a
Marshfield hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Olsen, Cindy, Pamela and Tommy,
returned to Milwaukee after spending a week at the homes of their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Oscar Olsen in Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze in Greenwood.
Pamela remained for an extended visit with her grandparents.
Mr. and
Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent from Friday until Monday at the home of their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Humke, in Rochester, Minn. While
there they celebrated the 16th birthday of their granddaughter, Christie Sue
Humke, which occurred June 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reineking of Grand
Marsh and Mrs. Robert Nordness and children, Mike and Wendy of Madison, who came
to attend the funeral of Mrs. Olga Reineking, spent Monday at the home of Mrs.
Kenneth Stafford.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett spent last week with
relatives in Tomah. They also visited their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis McCarty and family, in Park Forest, Ill. Mrs. McCarty, the former
Alice Plunkett, attended an alumni nurse’s convention in La Crosse.
Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Humke and daughters, Julie and Jean, of Green Bay, spent the
weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Humke and Mr. and Mrs. Myron
Kenyon. They had returned from a trip to Florida where they visited the Lloyd
Kenyon family.
Mrs. George Seliskar and daughter, Marian, have returned
after spending three weeks on a trip to Mexico and a visit in San Antonio, Tex.,
at the John Seliskar home.
Mrs. Pearl Clouse and Mr and Mrs. Dennis
Jaenke and daughters attended the wedding of their daughter and sister, Bonnie
Clouse to Marlin Denzer, in Cadott Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Clouse of Loyal also attended.
Friday evening visitors at
the Thomas Erickson home were the Rev. and Mrs. Orlin Mandsager of Minneapolis.
Mrs. Melvin Fegre and daughter, Lori, came Sunday from Janesville to spend a
week with her mother, Mrs. Emma Johnson.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fellenz and
sons arrived Friday evening from Shorewood, accompanied by Kathy Zepaltas, who
had spent two weeks at the Fellenz home. Tim and Steven Fellenz are spending a
week with their grandmother, Mrs. John Zepaltas, Sr., while their parents are
vacationing at Eagle River.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie returned here
Monday after a visit in Fond du Lac at the home of their son, Emory, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner spent Sunday at their cabin at Bear Lake. Their
granddaughters, Karen and Jane Telford of Eau Claire, arrived Monday to spend
some time with their grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. William Wickham and
family of Milwaukee are spending a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Einar Jackson.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie attended the golden
wedding open house held Saturday and Sunday in Loyal in honor of Mr. and Mrs.
Floyd Christie, former Greenwood residents.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Simonson of
West Allis, who came in respect to her aunt, Mrs. Olga Reineking, spent from
Thursday until Sunday (missing portion).
