Mr. and Mrs. Fred Theiler
visited at the Willis Johnson home early this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley
Fees drove to Goodman Saturday morning, to being his daughter, Mrs. Don Hawley
and her four children, home with them to stay for a week.
Mrs. Alyce
Gearing and Mrs. Arnold Matti were in Eau Claire Friday, where Mrs. Matti had a
checkup. She is gaining slowly.
Mrs. Walter Sheffer and Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Bailey were in Eau Claire Friday.
Glen Hines of Lockport, Ill.,
was an overnight guests Friday at the Cullen Dignin home. He was on his way home
from their cottage at Big Bad Lake, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Burtell of
Wautoma were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe.
Alton
Duerkop returned Saturday night from a week’s stay in Washington, D. C., where
he and several other young men attended a Citizenship Short-Course.
Mrs.
Cecil Reineck and Penny of Alma Center and Mr. and Mrs. John Duerkop of La
Crosse, were dinner guests Sunday at the Elmer Duerkop home.
Mr. and Mrs.
Thane Joos, Karen, Jami of Alma Center, and little Ricky of Monroe, called
Sunday afternoon at the Newton home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lightfoot were
dinner and after guests Sunday at the Raymond home.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Nering and two boys came Sunday afternoon and were overnight guests at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Polege.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stuve
entertained Thursday at a birthday supper in honor of the birthday of their son,
Steven. Guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Gib Gile and son, Bob, and friend of
Merrillan; Mrs. Beatrice Stuve and Mrs. Laura Dignin.
Mrs. Laura Dignin
and Mrs. Beatrice Stuve, with Cary Austin, called at the home of Mrs. Lena Tubbs
in Eau Clair, Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice spent Sunday
evening at the Jake Lightfoot home.
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Markham called
Sunday at the Art Allen home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Phillips and children of
Goshen, Ind., were guests at the Raymond Stuve home Saturday night. They will
visit her mother in Fair child before returning home.
Mrs. Raymond Stuve
came home Saturday from a 10-day visit with Mrs. Nellie Kay in Lake Geneva, and
with the Leon Phillips family in Goshen, Ind.
Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett
came home Friday from a trip to Oregon. They visited his sister, friends and
other relatives.
Merlin Duxbury of Derwood, Mich., is a guest of his
brother, Leland Duxbury. He was called here by the illness of his father, Ray
Duxbury of rural Merrillan.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Fees, Jr., and children
of Alma Center were dinner and supper guests Sunday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charley Fees.
Mrs. Walter Gerber and children of Rockford, Ill. are
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Walker, and with her brothers here.
Mrs. Maude Newton accompanied her daughter, Mrs. Thane Joos of Alma Center,
to Eau Claire Monday afternoon. Miss Karen Joos accompanied them.
