Hardwick, Violet Marie (4
March 1934 - 24 August 2013)
Violet Marie Hardwick, 79, of Black River
Falls, formerly of Humbird, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at her home under the
care of Black River Memorial Hospice.
Violet was born March 4, 1934 in
Russell, KS, to George and Mollie (Heffele) Herbel. Violet was raised in
Milwaukee and Neillsville where she graduated from High School. She married
Daryl Beryl Hardwick Jan. 30, 1954, in Neillsville. Together they lived in
Humbird where they spent their entire married life. Daryl preceded her in death
July 29, 2001.
Violet was an active member of her community and
volunteered in many organizations. She enjoyed cooking, canning and baking for
her family.
Violet is survived by her children, Dennis (Barbara)
Hardwick of Alma Center, Karen Hardwick and Linda Hardwick of Black River Falls,
and Brad Hardwick of Humbird; four grandchildren, Alison (Alan) Janicki, James
Hardwick, Megan Hardwick (Sean Tracy) and Andrew Hardwick; two sisters, Dolores
Meyer of Black River Falls and Dorothy Ann Ford of Great Falls, MT; one brother
Donald (Kathy) Herbel of Green Bay.
In addition to her husband, she was
preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Debbie.
Funeral
services for Violet will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Black River Falls with Rev. Steven Stork officiating. Burial
will be in Mentor Cemetery, rural Humbird. Friends called from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday at Buswell Funeral home in Black River Falls. Friends may also call from
10 a.m. until time of services at the church on Wednesday.
