Folczyk, Helen Ann (8 August 1926 - 25 August 2013)

Helen Ann Folczyk, age 87, of Stanley, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at her home. She was born on August 8, 1926, to the late Anton and Anna (Chylik) Prosecky. She grew up in the Drywood area and attended area schools. Aon October 18, 1944, she was united in marriage to Stanley Folczyk at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Drywood. The couple farmed the Folczyk family farm for many years, and Helen also worked many years as a waitress for the Badger Inn and others. Helen was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Czestochowa Catholic Church and recently All Saints Catholic Community Parish.

She is survived by her children: Eugene (Sally) of Chippewa Falls, Bonnie (Frank) Dusick of Eau Claire, Kathy (Fred) Le Savage of Tomah, and Michael of Stanley; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her special caregiver, Chris Jakubowicz.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley (2004); her parents; two brothers; and eight sisters: Helen being the last of her generation. She is further preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Gloria.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father William Felix officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Czestochowa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, and Friday morning from 9:15 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
