Fetting, Erma May (21 May 1927 - 24 July 2013)
Erma may
Fetting, 86, of Merrillan passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Black River
Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls. She was born May 21, 1927, in Tioga (Clark
County) to Osvin and Grace (Richards) Berthold. Erma grew up in Toga before
being united in marriage to Paul Weyand. He preceded her in death. She lived in
various locations before living in Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee, Erma met Earl
B. Fetting and they were married in 1948. They moved to Merrillan in 1952. He
also preceded her in death March 29, 1982.
Erma worked as a cook in
different restaurants in Merrillan. She enjoyed cooking gardening, fishing,
outdoors, shopping, crafts, reading, sewing, animals and the Green Bay Packers.
Erma attended the pilgrimage to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame tour.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Starlene) Weyand, Elaine (Bill) Di Bona
and Marion “Kay” (Jerry) Zinn; grandchildren, Paul, Scott, Michelle, Candy, Tim,
Tiffany, Nathan, Carrie and Eve; great-grandchildren, Marchelle and Giada;
sisters, Sue (Robert) Ditzer and Marie (E J) Hensley; brothers, Louie and John
Van Treeck; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Erma was
preceded in death by both husbands, Paul and Earl; parents, Osvin and Grace;
sisters, Betty De Groot and Lula Bell; brothers, Elmer and Harvey Berthold.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the United
Methodist Church, Merrillan. Reverend Meg Erickson officiated. Burial followed
in Oakwood Cemetery, Merrillan.
Family and friends were invited for
visitation Friday, July 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at
the church.
Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton assisted the family
with arrangements.
