Ronald J. "Shag" Osowski, age 62, of
Thorp, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:30
a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church
in Thorp, with Rev. Charles Hiebl officiating.
Visitation will be held
at the church, on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment of
cremains will take place at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in
Spooner, on Monday, December 9, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may
be directed to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 537 W. Broadway Street, Medford,
WI 54451.

RONALD J. "SHAG" OSOWSKI, age 62, of Thorp, passed away at his
home on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on

Ronald John Osowski was born on July 4, 1951
in Stanley, WI, the son of John and Alice (Czernicki) Osowski. He was raised and
educated in the Thorp area, graduating from Thorp High School in 1969.
Ron enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served during the Vietnam War from
August 15, 1969 until September 12, 1975. He was united in marriage to Mary K.
Symbal on November 25, 1972 at St. Mary's of Czestochowa Catholic Church, rural
Stanley. In 1974, Ron joined the Abbotsford-Colby Police Department. He later
worked at Badger Precision in Owen-Withee for 25 years.
In his spare
time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and guns. He was a member of the
Lublin American Legion and the Thorp VFW.
He is survived by his wife,
Mary, of Thorp; two daughters: Rita (Allen) Lew and Jill Osowski, both of Thorp;
two brothers: Thomas of Thorp; David (Cindi) of Reno, NV; one granddaughter:
Katie Lew of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Osowski.
He will be
greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
