Sherwood (17 June 1971)
Bible school closed with a program put on by the
children. There was an interesting display of work they had done during the last
two weeks.
The Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Lester Gamel on
Thursday.
Ralph Lawson, a former resident of Sherwood, and John Fluegel
celebrated their birthdays on June 4 at the John Fluegel home. Several guests
came, too, during the day. Visiting was enjoyed by family and friends.
Sherwood Sewing Club met at the home of Mrs. Chester Freedlund Tuesday evening.
Larry and Scott Freedlund and Lloyd Ziemendorf drove to Chicago Friday
evening. They returned home Saturday bringing a new car for Scott. They also
spent a few hours with Mr. and Mrs. Randy Harrison and Tammy.
Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Neve, Jr., called on the Lawrence Freedlunds last Wednesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Cary called on Mrs. Gladys Ziemendorf Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heath called at the Lawrence Freedlund home Saturday
evening.
Joe Seaman of Fond du Lac has suffered a heart attack, but at
last report was at home. Mr. Seaman was a former resident of Sherwood.
Mrs. Delbert Holmes of Hancock fell while shopping and fractured her hip. She is
in the Wild Rose Hospital.
