Mrs. A.H. Noetzel will entertain the Schafskopf Club at her home this evening.

Mrs. Katherine Schafer and daughter of Detroit, Mich. are visiting her sister, Mrs. R.A. Masters.

Mrs. Robert Kinnear of Milwaukee returned home Monday, after spending a week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Quast.

Mrs. Albert Schwarze entertained Merry-go-round at her home Wednesday evening.

Hemlock Ladies Aid will meet Wednesday p.m., Sept. 8th, with Mrs. George Einfeldt. All members are requested to be present.

Mrs. W.G. Stanton and children returned to eau Claire Friday after a three week visit at the O'Connell and Neuenfeldt homes.

J.H. Fradette and family returned home Monday evening from a week's visit at Peoria, Ill.

Mrs. Adolph Schwarze went to Woodman, Wis. Last Thursday for a visit at the home of her sister.

Mrs. C.A. Shaw, a former resident of Hemlock, but of late a resident of La Crosse, has moved to Medford, Wis., where she will resided.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Owen and two children and Mrs. Richard Owen of Sioux Falls, S.D. spent Wednesday and Thursday at the A.C. Barr home.

Mr. and Mrs. John Drummond went to Minong, Wis. Sunday, where they are spending the week with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Rowert and children have returned to Janesville after a visit here at the Wm. Roewert home.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimmerman of route one visited relatives and friends at North Freedom last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Carlton and baby of Antigo spent Saturday and Sunday at the A.C. Barr home.

The Misses Sylvia Walters, Lois Merkel and Eleanor Krieg returned Wednesday morning from Marshfield where they had spent a few days with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Alva Howard, Miss Gertrude Howard and Vernon Howard of Granton spent last Thursday evening at the O.A. Hiles Home.

Miss Theodora Withee of Medford is spending the week at the Eugene McMahon home.

F.G. MacLachlan and family, who ahve been spending several months with relatives and friends in the southern part of the state, returned home last Thursday.

Rev. and Mrs. Kitzerow and son of Howards Grove, Wis. Called on friends here Monday.

Nels Lee and family of Dodgeville spent from Thursday until Monday here with friends.

Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Barnes and Ed Fahey were at Chippewa Falls Sunday.

Alvin Stacy went to St. Paul Saturday for an over Sunday visit with his sister.

The West Side Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Aug. Franz, Wednesday, Sept. 1st.

There will be an old time dance at Will Syth's barn tonight, Thursday evening, Aug. 26th. Music by Wagner's Orchestra.

A.H. McCarty and daughter Violet attended the funeral of L.J. Niman at Rockford, Ill., Tuesday.

Kenneth Stafford has resigned his position at the local Post Office and expects to go to Janesville to work. Carl Schwarze has taken his place at the Post Office. Mr. and Mrs. Free Carlton of Neillsville were callers at the A.C. Barr home last week.

Mrs. Wm. Volk entertained the Birthday Club at her home Saturday evening.

Harry Hartson was an over Sunday visitor with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H> Hartson.

Harry J. Miller of Seattle, Wash. spent several days of last week here at the home of Mr. Belle Burch. Mr. Miller was a former resident here and will be remembered by many of our older residents.

Miss Blanch Gates and brother James of Neillsville spent Sunday at the home of their brother Dan Gates and family.

Mrs. Jos. Merkel and Mrs. Henry Warner spent Monday at Marshfield and Junction City with relatives and friends.

Mrs. C.D. Cannon of Loyal returned to Ivanhoe, Minn. Wednesday with the A.C. Huntzicker family.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sheets of St. Paul arrived Monday for a visit with Mr. Sheets' parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Sheets.

A.C. Barr and daughter Bessie and Miss Hope Ketchpaw were Owen callers Sunday.

Otto and Gudrun Bergum, living west of the city, went to La Crosse last week for a visit with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Ebert of route one were Eau Claire visitors last Friday.

Mrs. Edith Kelley of St. Paul is visiting at the home of her daughter, mrs. L.E. Rees.

Mr. and Mrs. T.L. Anderson and family of Eau Claire spent Sunday with Rev. T.O. Thompson and family.

Miss Ruth Noetzel left Wednesday morning for Yerington, Nevada, where she will teach this coming year.

The Misses Edith, Grace and Ruth Brown visited last week at the J.J. Jones home.

Mr. Wendell Bennett of Thorp spent Monday afternoon with Lloyd Long.

Mr. and Mrs. John Noble and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Noble of Rhinelander spent Sunday at the Wm. Huntzicker home. The gentlemen are brothers of Mrs. A.C. Huntzicker.

Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Huntzicker and family of Ivanhoe, Minn. arrived here last Wednesday evening for a visit at the Wm. Huntzicker's home and with other relatives.

Mrs. Silas Huber and Mrs. Uthmeyer of Marshfield spent Tuesday at the L.E. Rees home.

Lloyd Long returned Monday from Minneapolis where he visited his mother before going to his school in Saginaw, Mich.

Alber Noah returned home from Marshfield Saturday where he visited his father, Adolph Noah, who recently underwent an operation there. He reports his father as getting along nicely.

Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Snyder of near Neillsville spent several days of last week at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, postmaster and Mrs. W.G. Hartson.
