PFC Steven W. (Military Highlights - 2013)
PFC Steven W. Petranovich, a
2013 graduate of Thorp High School, graduated from boot camp for the United
States Marine Corps on Friday, November 1, 2013. The ceremony took place at the
MCRD (Marine Corps Recruit Depot) in San Diego, Ca. Following his graduation,
Steven was allowed to come home on a 10-day leave before heading back to Camp
Pendleton, San Diego, where he will undergo two months of rigorous combat
training before being stationed with his first unit. Steven advanced from a
Private to Private First Class, immediately upon completion of boot camp because
he is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve. Steven is the
son of Wayne and Christina Petranovich of Thorp, WI.
