Volovsek, Kathy Marie (Marriage - 19 June 1971)
Miss Kathy Marie Volovsek
and Thomas Harold Gall, of Waukesha were married Saturday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m.
in Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens performed
the double-ring ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Volovsek, Rt.
2 Neillsville and the son of Mrs. Margaret Gall of Neillsville. The church was
decorated with yellow gladioli, white daisies and baby’s breath.
Given
in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length, empire style gown of
nylon organza and imported rosebud lace designed with a high neckline and puffed
sleeves. The matching cathedral length mantilla veil of English illusion was
bordered in rose point lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses, baby’s breath
and ivy.
Miss Linda Eslinger was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Judy
Marshall and Sue Volovsek. The bridal attendants wore yellow empire-waist gowns
with avocado bow accents and carried matching, bow-accented daisy mum bouquets.
David Hopfer of Wisconsin Rapids served as bestman. Groomsmen were
Russell Ratsch and John Rychnovsky. Dave Volovsek and Dave Schuld were the
ushers.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Ann Lamovec and by the
adult choir of the church. A wedding reception for 350 guests was held at the
home of the bride’s parents.
The bride a graduate of St. Mary’s academy
at Prairie du Chien has been employed as a secretary in Neillsville. The groom,
a Neillsville High School graduate is employed in Waukesha, where the couple
will live following their return from a wedding trip through the Western States.
