Shell, Freeda (20 Aug 1882 – 31 Dec
1967)
Mrs. Freeda Shell, 84, of Loyal died at 5 p.m. Saturday, December
31, at Memorial Hospital of complications.
Services were held at 2 p.m.
at the Myre Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3. The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer,
pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in the Lutheran
Cemetery.
Mrs. Erwin Dux, soloist, was accompanied at the organ by Mr.
John A. Olson. Mrs. Dux sang “Nearer My God To Thee,” and “Abide With Me.”
The pallbearers were John Olson, Walter Krahn, Julius Ehlert, Ferd Gotter,
Howard Syurtz Sr. and Glean Doering.
The former Freeda Brussow was born
August 20, 1882 in the town of Loyal. She married Henry Meier in 1902. After
their marriage the couple farmed south of Loyal for many years. When they
retired they moved to the city of Loyal. Mr. Meier died in 1947.
September of 1950 she married Gerhardt Shell. He died July 1962.
Mrs.
Shell was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Women’s Society.
The past several years shr had been in poor health. This last year she had spent
at the Memorial Home, Neillsville.
She was preceded in death by one son
in infancy and three brothers.
