Bentzler, Christ (29 March 1893 – 19 Jan 1967
Christ Bentzler, 73, of
Loyal died at the Memorial Hospital, Neillsville onThursday, January 19 at 4:30
p.m. He had been in poor health for the past two years.
Services were
held Monday, January 23, ay 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the
Rev. Norbert E. King officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Myre
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Garland,
Donald and Raymond Bentzler, Ronald Froeba, John Grutzik and Eugene Wehe.
Mr. Bentzler was born March 29, 1893 in Pierce County. He came to Loyal as a
young man and lived here the rest of his life. In September of 1966 he went to
the Memorial Home at Neillsville. Mr. Bentzler never married. He was employed as
a truck driver for a construction company in the summer and drove logging trucks
in the winter.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Bentzler is survived by three brothers, George Sr., Loyal; Peter, and Matt
of South Bend, Indiana; five sisters, Sister M. Carmeilia, Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc; Sister M. Carmella, Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc; Sister Rose
Carmel, Petoskey, Michigan; Mrs. Rose Loos, Green Bay; and Mrs. Pauline Wenzel,
Hartford.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
