Schecklman, Carl
Carl Schecklman, 69,
route 2, Loyal, was found dead Sunday in his home in the Town of York, Clark
County where he lived alone.
The body was found by a neighbor, Joe
Hoeser, who had stopped to offer him a ride to church.
Clark County
authorities, after an investigation, said death was due to natural causes.
Services were held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, February
15 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. N. E. King officiating. Burial was made in the
parish cemetery. Myre Funeral Home was I charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Steve Lapori, Tony Walter Sr., Joe Hoeser, Albert Meyer,
Phillip Schecklman, and Tony Walter, Jr.
He was born April 16, 1897, in
the town of York and resided there most of his life. He was engaged in
construction work until his retirement.
Mr. Schecklman was a member of
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal and a veteran of World War l.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Haplin, Loyal and a brother, Mark,
Jefferson.
