Eckes, Andy (03 Aug 1898 – 16 Feb 1967)

Andy W, Eckes, Marshfield, formerly of Loyal died following a stroke at1:45 a.m. Thursday, February 16. He had been in ill health the past three years.

Services were conducted at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18 at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. A. N. Schuh officiating. Burial was made in the Gate of Heaven cemetery.

Mr. Eckes was born August 3, 1898 in the town of Lincoln, Wood County, and received his education in the Marshfield schools. He was a salesman and had made his home in the Marshfield area with the exception of eight years when he resided in Loyal.

His marriage to Helen Kohlbeck, who survives him, took place December 3, 1931, at Rockford, Illinois.

Other survivors include three daughters; three sons; four sisters; and one brother; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
