Pfunder, Dr. Malcolm C. (1898? - 23 JAN 1952)

Services for Dr. Malcolm C. Pfunder, 54, 4901 Garfield Av., St. Paul, Minn., who died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1952, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26th at Lakewood Chapel.

Dr. Pfunder had been a physician and surgeon in Minneapolis since 1929. For seven years prior to 1929 he practiced in Miles City, Mont.

Born at Two Creeks, Wis., he studied at Ripon College, Wis. And the University of Chicago.

In Minneapolis Dr. Pfunder served on the staff of Swedish Lutheran , Fairview and Mt. Sinai eye, ear, nose and throat services at hospitals. He also was former chief of Gneral Hospital.

Dr. Pfunder was a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Association of Ophthalmology and Minnesota Stat Medical Association.

He was past president of the Hennepin County Medical Society and Minnesota Academy and Ophthalmology and Orthoarynology.

He was a member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club, National Skeet Shooting Association, the Big Game Club, Twin Cities Hopkins Shooting Association, Knox of the Shrine, The Scottish Rite, Lynn Presbyterian Church, Zehrah Lemonhurst Masonic Lodge, Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Chi.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Gilkey Pfunder, a daughter, Mrs. Curtis H. Carlson, a son Malcolm O. Pfunder, Minneapolis.
