Chippewa Falls -- Funeral services for
F.W. Anderson, 76, a retired Chippewa Falls businessman, were held at the Christ
Episcopal Church at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8th, with the Rev. Ronald Ortmayer
officiating. Burial was at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson died at
St. Joseph's Hospital Saturday evening, April 5, 1952.
Mr. Anderson was
born in the Town of Hemlock, Clark County, Wis. On Oct. 17, 1875, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Knute Anderson. He received his early education at Greenwood, Wis.
After being graduated from the La Crosse Business College, he became manager of
the Farmers' Big Store at Greenwood.
In 1906 he was married to Margaret
Thompson, and in 1910 they moved to Chippewa Falls, where Mr. Anderson became
manager of the Farmers' Produce Company.
Mr. Anderson was a former
president of the Commercial Club, an active member of the Kiwanis Club, a member
of the Christ Episcopal Church, and a member of the Masonic Order.
In
1948 Mr. and Mrs. Anderson entered the Ruthledge Home, where they have since
resided.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. L.
Richardson and Miss Berdine Anderson of Conrad, Mont.; Miss Sadie Anderson of
Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. E.L Bond, Mondovi. (Eau Claire Leader)
