Hare, Corrine ("A"
Rating - 19 APR 1952)
Corrine Hare received a top "A" rating at the State
Forensic Contest at Madison last Saturday for her presentation of the serious
declamation, "All Hands Lay Aft." Two other Greenwood High School students who
took part in the contest, Carol Drew and Carol Speich, received "C" ratings.
Carol Drew gave an original oration, "Symbols of Our American Way of Life," and
Carol Speich was an extemporaneous reader. These three Greenwood High School
students had earned the right to enter the state contest by receiving "A"
ratings at the league and district forensic contests previously. They were
accompanied to Madison by their instructor, Mrs. Vera N. Schultz.
