Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski and Mrs. Oliver Kessler were Stevens Point callers
Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Flynn and family of Neillsville visited at the
Earl Sloniker home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wuethrich and
children spent the weekend at their cottage near Hayward.
Mrs. Tony
Rychnovsky, who underwent a goiter operation at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield, returned home on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Van Keuren and
daughter Patrice of Madison spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
W.A. Stewart.
Mr. and Mrs. James McGhee of Cheyenne, Wyoming called at
the Robert Stewart home on Tuesday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meyer,
who spent the winter in Milwaukee, spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. John Verschay, enroute to their home at Minocqua.
Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard Benson and sons of Watertown spent from Thursday until Monday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sloniker. On Saturday they visited in Wausau.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecile Looker and son Glen of Owen were dinner guests on Sunday at
the W.A. Stewart home. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Peters, daughter and
grandchildren of Eau Claire visited there, and in the evening Milton Looker of
Redding, Calif. visited there.
Joe Klune and Bruce Thiel were at St. Paul
last Friday.
Vincent Lindner is a patient at the Wis. General Hospital,
Madison.
Mrs. C.C. Hoehne is spending some time with her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Braatz.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thorson and
daughter Lynn of Marshfield visited Sunday with Miss Melva Afkend.
Oscar
Woepse of Asberry Park, N.J., visited relatives and friends here for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hillinger of Chicago spent trom Thursday until Sunday at
the Palmer Vinger home.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Scherr and Mr. and Mrs.
Florian Herrick and daughters spent Sunday at the Martin Scherr home at Wausau.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meyer of Minocqua and Mr. and Mrs. Val Jeras visited with
Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay Jr. at Willard on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Buchholz and daughter Arlene, Edmund Hinkelmann, all of Loyal; Clarence Buchholz
and Alfred Clair, both of Wilton, visited Sunday evening at the Clarence
Meinhardt home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sullivan, Mrs. Hugh Smith and Mrs.
McCarthy of Chicago visited last Wednesday noon at the John Arends home enroute
to St. Paul, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Sullivan's brother, Roy
Williamson, which was held on Thursday. Mr. Williamson is also a nephew of Miss
Rue Cummings. The group returned here Thursday evening and spent the night at
the Fred Behrens home, leaving for Chicago Friday morning.

Stewart was a caller at Owen Monday morning.
O.R. Thompson of Rib Lake
visited his mother, Mrs. Mary Thompson, at the Robert Stewart home on Friday.
Eddie Klune, who attends the University at Madison, spent last week with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Klune.
Mr. and Mrs. Aug. de Kennen and Mr. and
Mrs. Linus Prock of Globe visited Sunday at the James McConnell home.
Mmes. W.A. Stewart, O.J. Amundson and R.B. Mead and Miss Irene O'Connell
attended the Clark Co. Federated Women's Club convention at Thorp last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pfeifer and family of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Thiede and sons of Arcadia, and Wilbert Swieso, Vesper, spent the weekend at the
Walter Swieso home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Thiede of Granton and Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Anderson and daughter of Marshfield visited at the Walter Swieso home Sunday
afternoon.
Guests at the home of Gust Horn on Sunday were Oscar Woepse,
New Jersey; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Horn, Miss Judy Stanke, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs.
George Kuester and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horn and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Horn and son, Mr. and Mrs. Hebert Horn, all of Greenwood.

E. Hogue visited relatives at Cudahy last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Garth
Haeuser visited Sunday with Mrs. Myrle Hales at Rochester, Minn.
Mr. and
Mrs. Frederick Gotz and son Bruce, Pittsville, Mrs. Hugh Severson and Carol
spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Christ Keiner.
Friends of Otto Hiles
will be surprised to learn he is having a bout with the measles.
Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Marden and family left for Milwaukee Friday to attend the funeral
of Mrs. Marden's father.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski and family spent
Sunday at the Paul Kowieski home at Thorp.
Miss Alberta Klinke of
Milwaukee spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klinke.
Guests Sunday at the Robert Stewart home were Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bremer and Mr.
and Mrs. O.R. Thompson, Rib Lake; Mrs. Pauline Lindahl, Stetsonville; Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Helding, Scott and Pamela, Abbotsford.
Edward M. Braun, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Braun Sr., was initiated into the Phi Zeta Fraternity of the
Iowa State Veterinary College, a degree awarded the ten highest Junior students.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lenz and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Lenz and children of Oconomowoc
spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lenz and other
relatives.
