Olson, Pvt. John R. (Military Notes Notes - 1971)
Pvt. John R. Olson, 20,
son of the Rev. and Mrs. R. W. Olson of Thorp, recently completed nine weeks of
advanced individual infantry training at Ft. Polk, La.
During the course,
he received guerrilla training and lived under simulated Vietnam conditions for
five days, fighting off night attacks and conducting raids on enemy villages. He
