Bottlemy, Warren M. (5 DEC 1925 - 17 DEC 2013)

Warren M. Bottlemy, 88 of Owen, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Myhre. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers will be Warren's grandsons, Matthew Bottlemy, Kevin Bottlemy, Craig Bottlemy, Jason Bottlemy, Erik Bottlemy, Ryan Bottlemy and Logan Bottlemy. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen on Saturday.

Warren was born December 5, 1925 in Alden, Illinois to Elmer and Olive (Fink) Bottlemy. He went all 12 years and graduated from Alden High School. Warren married Joanne Rice at the Methodist Church in Hebron, Illinois on February 18, 1950. The Bottlemy's owned and operated a milk route for four years and purchased his grandfather's farm and ran it for seven years in northern Illinois before purchasing their farm in Clark County in 1959. Warren retired in 1991 and built a new home one mile north of his farm. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February 2000 and their 60th in 2010.

Warren was active in all farm organizations, ADA, AMPI and the Farm Bureau. He served on the State Dairy Action Committee for the Farm Bureau and on the Clark County Board of Directors. He was a member of the Wisconsin Forage Council serving as president and vice president and was on several committees. In 1988, Warren was given the award of distinction by the College of Agriculture Life Science at Madison, the highest honor the College of Agriculture can confer.

Warren is lovingly survived by his wife; Joanne Bottlemy of Owen, 4 sons; Douglas (Carol) Bottlemy of Owen, Greg (Kari) Bottlemy of Cameron, WI, Mark Bottlemy of Withee and Kurt Bottlemy of Rockford, IL, 15 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 step great-grandchild, 5 great-great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters; Lois Norgard of Hebron, IL, Frances Behrens of Hebron, IL and Grace Wissell of Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Ronald in 1980, infant daughter; Karen Sue in 1954 and 2 brothers; Harold Bottlemy and Elmer Bottlemy Jr.
