------ Becker, Roberta (26 JUN 1965)
Miss Roberta Becker and Robert Denzine were united in
marriage Saturday, June 26, in a 2 o’clock ceremony at Bethlehem Lutheran
church, Milan, with the Rev. F. R. Timler officiating.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. William
Becker of route 1, Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Denzine of route 1,
Abbotsford.
Darlene Mattson, Minneapolis, a cousin of the bride, was
the maid of honor, and Mrs. Ronald Olson, Rosendale, Wis., a sister of the
groom, was the bridesmaid. The
groom’s attendants were best man, Roger Denzine, Abbotsford, a cousin of the
groom, and Ronald Olson, brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride was seen in a floor length gown of bombazine
and lace featuring a bouffant skirt with lace-edged ruffles in the back and a
long tapered bodice. Lace appliques
enhanced the gown. The bridal veil
of fingertip illusion was secured to a pearl crown with rhinestones and crystal
drops. She carried a heart shaped
bouquet of red roses and white carnations with ivy on long streamers.
The bridal attendants were attired in powder blue sheaths
of rayon peau with floor length detachable overskirts.
The sheath fitted bodice was styled with a scooped neckline and elbow
length sleeves. The bell-shaped
overskirt was enhanced in back with a Watteau panel.
Head pieces were blue nylon of rose and pearl piped petals, with brief
bouffant veils. Their flowers were
cascade bouquets of blue and white carnations fastened with blue ribbon.
Organist Nancy Baumann provided music during the
ceremony, and she accompanied Albert Boneske, who sang “O Perfect Love” and “The
Lord’s Prayer”.
A reception was held for about 160 guests at the Milan
club house, and a dinner was served at the church parlors.
A dance was held that evening at the Trianon ballroom.
Following a wedding trip to the east coast, the couple
will live at rural Abbotsford. The
groom is employed at the Athens Cooperative at Milan.
Guests attending came from Minneapolis, Anoka, Rosendale, Phillips, Medford, Aniwa, Kenosha, Racine, Seiring and the surrounding areas.
