Otto, Mathilda, (06 June 1883 – 07 April 1967)
Mrs.
Mathilda Otto, 83, Loyal died at her home of old age complications.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church with
the Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiating and burial was made in the Lutheran
Cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs.
John A. Olson the organist was accompanied by the congregation singing “Abide
With Me” and “My Jesus As Thou Art.”
Pallbearers were Keith Luber, James
Helm, James Olson, Delmar Pieper, James Lauenstein and Larry Rueth.
The
former Mathilda Dallman was born June 6, 1883 in Germany. She married George
Otto, March 5, 1909 in Germany. Shortly after their marriage the couple came to
the United States settling in Milwaukee. Lived there until 1924 when they came
to Clark County on a farm in the town of Beaver. Lived on the same farm until
her death.
Mrs. Otto was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged
to it’s women’s society.
She is survived by one son Paul of Milwaukee;
three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Alma) Pieper and Mrs. Allen (Mavis) Luber both of
Loyal; and Mrs. Orvin (LaVerna) Litka, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in
death by her husband on Oct. 11, 1954.
