Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Bert (11 April 1917 –
11 April 1967)
A open house was held at St. Anthony’s Church hall
Tuesdayevening, April 11, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown’s golden wedding
anniversary which was that day. The honored couple were presented with a corsage
and boutonnierre. Flowers and candels graced the table.
Mr. and Mrs.
Brown were both born at Hartford. The couple were married at Milwaukee on April
11, 1917. In 1918 they came to Loyal to make their home.
They are parents
of a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Ruth) Rufener, Madras Oregon; two sons, Edward,
Colby; and Robert, Boston, Mass; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A dinner was served Sunday for relatives at the Star Lodge Motel for 45
guests.
Mr. Brown enjoys carpentry work and has served as supervisor and
alderman for the city of Loyal for many years.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown are
both members of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
