A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Father Madanu Sleeva Raju will officiate. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is serving the family.

He was born on November 6, 1941, the son of Chester and Mary Cwikla, in Milwaukee. Butch left the farm at age 17 to go to Chicago, Ill., for several years. He met and married his wife, Jill, on May 10, 1963. They returned to the Lublin/Owen area in 1967.

Butch loved fishing, deer hunting and watching Owen-Withee High School football. His children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter were his great love. His little Beagle, Opi, brought great pleasure to him. He could be seen going for walks several times every day.
