Francis, Lorraine M. (20 May 1926 - 20 December 2013)

Lorraine M. Francis, 87, of Marshfield died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Lorraine was born May 20, 1926, in Merrillan to Glen and Eva (Haberl) Lezotte. She graduated from Merrillan High School then married Harold L. Francis Dec. 9, 1943, in Black River Falls. Harold died Feb. 14, 2012.

She lived in Loyal where her husband operated a barbershop for over 52 years. She moved to Marshfield and enjoyed her grand and great-grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children Jacqueline (David) Slaby and Paula (David) Schumacher both of Marshfield, and Patricia (Danny) Slaby of Landers, CA; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is further survived by her brother, Glen (Shirley) Lezotte, Jr., of Stoughton.

Besides her parents and husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by twin infant daughters, Jacqueline and Peggy.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, with Pastor Jason Hirsch officiating. Burial will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
