Zickert, Bertha (3 December 1898 -
25 July 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Zickert, 72, of
Neillsville, who died July 25, were held Wednesday, July 28, at 1:30 p.m. from
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff
officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Bertha Zickert, the daughter
of Lewis and Anna (Steinberg) Quast, was born December 3, 1898, in the Town of
Seif, where she received her education. Her marriage to Frank Zickert took place
November 17, 1920, in Neillsville. The Zickert’s farmed until 1950, when they
retired and moved in to Neillsville. Mrs. Zickert, who had worked for Auto-Test,
Inc., was ill for the last year. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church and of its Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors in addition to
her husband, include two children, Franklin Zickert of Rt. 3, Neillsville, and
Mrs. Marvin (Arlene) Heiman of Marshall; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Grey of Fond du
Lac and Mrs. Gust (Martha) Belter of Eau Claire; three brothers, Henry Quast of
Alma Center, Martin Quast of West Allis and Frederick Quast of Rt. 3,
Neillsville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
