Johnson, Bertha Marie (1 December 1892 - 25 July 1971)

Mrs. Bertha Marie Johnson, 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, a former Greenwood resident, died Sunday at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, where she was admitted 10 days ago.

Bertha Johnson, daughter of Martin and Anna Johnson, was born December 1, 1892, in Chicago. She was married October 19, 1911, in Hawkins. The family lived in Chicago until 1908, when they moved to Hawkins. In 1918 they moved to Greenwood. They lived here until 1941, when they moved to Waukegan, Ill. In 1966 Mrs. Johnson moved to Wisconsin Rapids.

Survivors are a son, Arthur M. Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Jordan of Waukegan, Ill.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with burial to be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
