Kim M. Alger, age 51, of Thorp, passed away at her home on
Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on
Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Thorp. Rev. Gerald
Heinecke will officiate and burial will follow at Sylvan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric Alger, Loren Alger, Scott Alger, Allen Anderson, Scott
Anderson, Colin Castaing, Ed Thomas, Eric Strozk, Jeff Strozk, and Ryan Strozk .
Visitation will be held at the church, on Thursday, from 9:00am until time of
service.
Kim Marie Alger was born on August 1, 1962 in Stanley, WI, the
daughter of Kenneth L. and Betty J. (DeSota) Alger.
She was raised and
received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1980.
After completing high school, Kim moved to Minnesota and worked for Xcel Energy
as a gas designer and electrical designer for 28 years. She was a lot of fun to
be around and will be greatly missed by all.
In her spare time, Kim loved
to do stand-up comedy, crocheting, knitting, bead work, cooking, gardening
flowers and loved her cats.
She is survived by her parents: Ken and Betty
Alger of Thorp; 3 brothers: Keith of Thorp, Brian (Delores) of Greenwood, Chris
(Brenda) of Edgar; one niece: Nicole; 3 nephews: Cody (Kristen), Michael and
Justin (Kourtney Weiks); aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
