Bohman, Daniel Phillip (31 OCT 1947 - 10 DEC 2013)

Daniel Phillip Bohman, 66, Mosinee passed away peacefully into eternal life on December 10, 2013, at Aspirus Hospital with his loving family at his bedside.

He was born October 31, 1947, to Anton “Tony” Bohman and Violet Marie (Bornowski) Bohman.

He attended Fairchild Country School and Stratford Public School and graduated from Stratford High School in 1966. He graduated from Rock Island Barber College in 1968, and worked as a barber for 2 years. He owned and operated Village Spirits & Sundaes, formerly Stratford Liquor Store, from 1973 to 1991.

He also served on the Marathon County Board for several years and in 1995 began his career as an Insurance Agent. His passion was collecting tractors from models to life size and always showed a proud smile while riding. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and riding motor cycles.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Bohman; mother, Violet Pilgrim; three children, Matthew (Makiko) Meyer, WA, Jacob (Jennifer) Meyer, Schofield, Nicole (Daniel) Seitz, TX; three step-children; one sister, Jane (John) Wagner, Marshfield; three step-sisters, Shirley (John) Dorn, Caroline (Dick) Meyer, June (Randy) Krebsbach; two sister-in-laws, Donna (Mike) Manicke, Marshfield, Mary (John) Loud, Madison; one brother-in-law, David (Carol) Kaminski, FL; four grandchildren, Ava Meyer, Schofield, Collin, Joshua, Chasity Seitz, Texas., Godchild, Wendy (Ted) DiStefano; and several other nieces and nephews and two great nephews.

Previous marriages included Darlene Fahey, Marshfield and Jaqueline Turk, Wausau.

He is preceded in death by his father, Anton “Tony” Bohman; two step-dads, Erwin Leitermann and Clarence Pilgrim; and one-step son, Andy Turk.

Services to be held at Christ Community Church 8100 Alderson St., Schofield, WI 54476 on Friday, December 13, 2013, with a visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a service to start at 7 p.m. Dr. Robin Wilde to officiate. John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting family at this time.
