German, Rose Mary (Marriage - 31 July 1971)

Miss Rose Mary German became the bride of Elmer Zarins Saturday, jolly 31, at 2 p.m. in Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. Luetkehoelter performed the double-ring ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin German of R. 2 Withee, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zarins of Rt. 1 Withee, before an altar decorated with two bouquets of white, yellow and violet mums.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white satin gown fashioned with lace sleeves and lace inserts. The bodice and the hemline were decorated with pearl teardrops. Her illusion veil was adorned with rose appliqué and featured a pillbox headpiece. She wore gold cross earrings and necklace and carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Matron of honor Mrs. Kathy Zarins wore a floor-length, empire waist gown of mint green lace styled with full lace sleeves. Her bouquet was created of white and green carnations.

John Zarins served as bestman. Ushers were Walter Zarins and John German, brothers of the groom and of the bride.

Organ music was played by Miss Louise Hansen.

A wedding reception for over 100 guests was served in the Nazareth Lutheran parish hall.

The groom a 1966 graduate of Owen-Withee High School is employed in Dorchester. The newlyweds are on a wedding trip to the Hayward area.
