J. (9 JAN 1859 – 3 AUG 1952)
Frank J. Horner was born Jan. 9, 1859 at Two
Rivers, Wis. And received his education there. At the age of 18 he came to Clark
County where he operated a farm in the Town of Beaver.
On April 17, 1883,
he was married at Greenwood to Mina Meinholdt, who preceded him in death 27
years ago.
Mr. Horner passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield on
Sunday, Aug. 3, 1952. Death was attributed to a stroke and old age
complications. He has been making his home with his son Charles at Unity.
He is survived by three sons, Charles, Unity Edward, Owen; Herman,
Ypsilanti, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. David Pepin, Mrs. Chauncey Johnson, Mrs.
Clarence Taylor, Miss Emma Horner, all of California, nine grandchildren, and
seven great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 7, at 2 o’clock in
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green Grove. The Rev. Paul Dietz will
officiated at the services, and burial will be in Beaver Township Cemetery.
