Lapp, Eugene “Gene” Raymond (1931? - 26 DEC 2013)
Eugene (Gene)
Raymond Lapp, 82, of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at his
apartment in the company of his wife and daughter.
Born in Dorchester, he
lived most of his life split between northern Illinois and Central Wisconsin.
Gene was a practical, social man who worked as a milk tester for 45 years.
In his spare time, he was an avid non-fiction reader, an American history buff,
and a lover of having a few beers with friends and family. He adored his
grand-dog, Franklin, and his cat, Sigmund.
Gene was a kind and gentle
father to his daughter, Darcy Poquette, and her husband, Andy, of Cottage Grove.
He was a loving husband to his wife and best friend, Pamela Lapp of Cambridge.
He is also survived by his brother, Peter Lapp, of Dorchester; and his
good friends, Mark Lothe of Cambridge and Jack Nordman of Lake Havasu City,
Ariz.
Per Gene’s wishes, there will be no service. Instead, his body was
donated for scientific advancement to the UW, and his ashes will be spread into
his daughter and son-in-law’s new hops garden.
Gene wished to have any
donations made to his wife, Pamela Lapp, 555 West Madison Street, Apt. 8,
Cambridge, WI 53523.
