Haskins, Donald E. (29 OCT 1935 - 28 DEC 2013)
Donald E. Haskins, 78, Prentice, died on Saturday, Dec. 28 in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Heindl
Funeral Home in Prentice, with Pastor John Trewyn, of Trinity Lutheran Church of
Phillips, officiating.
Donald Haskins was born on October 29, 1935 in
Stetsonville to the late Lee and Helen (Zastrow) Haskins.
He married
Beverly Peters, and they later divorced. He was a licensed cheesemaker and
worked at several area cheese factories. He later returned to Prentice and
retired from Norco Windows in Hawkins.
He was a member of the Prentice
Lions Club. He enjoyed time with family and friends, the outdoors, hunting and
fishing.
He is survived by three children, Deborah (Victor) Grube of
Spencer, Trish (Ron) Pawlowicz of Medford and David (Trina) Haskins of Prentice;
three sisters, Lorraine Sarkkinen, Elaine (Larry) Pfaffendorf and Carol
Anderson; three brothers, Norman (Sue) Haskins, Roy (Linda) Haskins and Gene
(Joyce) Haskins; a brother-in-law, Chuck Hall; a sister-in-law, Audrey Haskins;
eight grandchildren, Laura (Tim) Krause, Jay (Jason) Weiler, Jenna (Matt) Kops,
Natasha (Quinn) Peterson, Eric (Katie) Haskins, Jennifer (Joe) Nowak, Curt
(Lynn) Pawlowicz and Craig (MaryJo) Pawlowicz; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob,
Howard and Roger Haskins; a sister, Doris Hall; and two brothers-in-law, Russell
Sarkkinen and Ray Anderson.
