Tischendorf, Gerald “Jerry” or “Butch” Earl

Gerald “Jerry” or “Butch” Earl Tischendorf
passed away Dec. 20, 2013, at his home surrounded by his wife, children and
grandchildren.
He was born in Dorchester on Oct. 6, 1946, to George and
Florence (Gurney) Tischendorf. He went to Draper Grade School and finished at
Dor-Abby High School.
He married Cathy Block at Wabaska, Minn., on July
2, 1966. They enjoyed 47 wonderful years together. He enjoyed building things
for his grandchildren, gardening and sitting around a campfire drinking. Jerry
worked for GET in Milwaukee, and Michaels Pipeline until 1972, when he started
his own business in construction and building.
Jerry is survived by his
wife, Cathy; three sons, Bob (Peggy Knippel) and Steven of Dorchester. Wayne
(Karen) and Cameron & Jade ( Erik) & great-grandchildren Alayne & Alex of
Dorchester. James & his three children, Austin, Blake & Joslyn of Dorchester.
His daughter, Kimberly (Steve Silso) and Kierra & Nicki of Medford. One brother,
George Tischendorf Jr. of Abbotsford; and a sister, Mary Dampier of Janesville.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Konecny;
his brother-in-law, Fritz Dampier; and two nephews, Brad Dampier and Richard
Konecny.
Jerry was cremated at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in
Schofield. A celebration of his life will be announced in the spring/summer at
his homeplace.
