Dommer, Milton G. (18 SEP 1926 - 2 JAN 2014)
Milton G. Dommer, age 87, of
Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center,
Oshkosh.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, January 2,
2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Spencer. Pastor Rebekah Tarras will
officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10AM
until the time of service.
Milton was born September 18, 1926 in
Riplinger, the son of the late Fred and Ida (Kuester) Dommer. On November 27,
1948 Milton married the former Darlene Hendrickson at St. John's Lutheran Church
in Spencer. She survives. Milton worked maintenance for the Soo Line Railroad
Company for 43 years and he also co-owned Awards by G&D from 1986-2001.
Milton was a member of the Spencer Lion's Club, his hobbies included fishing,
hunting, bowling, dancing and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife Darlene of Oshkosh; his children: Gayle Dommer of
New Orleans, LA; Douglas Dommer of Oshkosh; Dawn (Tom ) Lett of Oshkosh;
grandchildren: Tanya (Josh) Griepentrog of Spencer; Erin (Chris) Walbrun of
Spencer; Michelle (Jeremy) Hoffman of Neshkoro and Ashley Schalow of Spencer;
great grandchildren: Aidan, Carter and Bryce Griepentrog; Harley and Hunter
Hoffman and Addison Walbrun. Milton is further survived by his sisters: Marie
Dearden of Chickasha, OK and Norma Fauset of San Luis Obispo, CA.
Besides
his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his four brothers: Russell, Ira,
Harold and Orville and two sisters: Grace Zamboria and Irene Stathmann and a
great step-granddaughter, Emily Walbrun.
The family expresses their
heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Mercy Medical Center's ICU.
