Meek, Ralph R. (24 APR 1885 - 10 AUG 1952)
Ralph R. Meek, son of George
and sarah Meek, was born on April 24, 1885 at Alma Center.
On Nov. 29,
1906 he was united in marriage to Bertha Masters at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
To this union one son, Gordon, was born.
Mr. Meek was an employee of the
Soo Line for the past forty six years, two years as brakeman and the rest as
conductor. He retired in 1951. He was a graduate of the Greenwood High School
with the class of 1904.
Mr. Meek passed away at the Stanley Hospital on
Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1952 following an illness of two years. For the past few years
he has resided in Owen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Thursday, Aug. 21 at St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, Owen, with burial in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of Owen; his son Gordon,
St. Paul, one granddaughter, Susan Meek, St. Paul; a brother Hugh Meek, Stevens
Point.
His parents, one sister and a brother preceded him in death.
