Schofield, Sara (20 MAY 1876 - 12 SEP 1952)
Mrs.
Sara Schofield, 76, Town of Sherman, Clark County (Wis.), passed away Friday
noon, Sept. 12, 1952 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, mr. and Mrs.
Ray Miller. Death was caused by a stroke. She had been in poor health the past
three eyars.
Mrs. Schofield, nee Sara Wilson, was born May 20, 1876 in
Ontario, Canada. At the age of four she moved to the Spencer area and has lived
there since that time.
On Feb. 5, 1893 she was married to Albert
Schofield in the Townof Sherman. Mr. Schofield passed away in 1942.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Swarthout Funeral Home on Monday,
Sept. 15th. The Rev. Harvey Schall, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated.
She was laid to rest in the West Spencer Cemetery.
She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Ray (Luella) Miller, Spencer, and Mrs. Ruth Patterson,
Vancouver, British Columbia; four sons, Byron of Boyd; Robert and Clayton of
Greenwood and Alvin of Owen; 27 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a
brother, Percy Wilson, Minneapolis.
