Miss Elaine R. Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Lee, Thorp, and Theodore A. Suda, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), were
united in marriage on Tuesday morning, Sept. 9, 1952 in St. Hedwig's Catholic
Church, Thorp. The Rev. Father Piekarski officiated.
The bride wore a
gown of nylon net and lace over satin featuring a snug fitting bodice of lace
and a net skirt detailed with panels of lace. Her fingertip veil cascaded from a
cap trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a shower bouquet of red roses and
small white mums.
JoAnn Kitzhaber, Greenwood, who served as maid of
honor, and Virginia Bogumill, Owen, and Amelia Pastell, Waukegan, Ill.,
bridesmaids, wore lime green frocks of nylon net and lace over taffeta, and
matching coronet headpieces. Each carried a nosegay bouquet of pale yellow
gladioli, gold colored mums and tea roses.
James Suda was his brother's
best man, and John Lee, brother of the bride, and Lawrence Suda, another brother
of the groom, were groomsmen.
The bride's mother wore a navy suit with
matching accessories and the groom's mother was attired in a blue two-piece suit
with the same color accessories. Each had a corsage of red roses.
A
dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents after the service.
The couple will reside on the groom's farm when they return from a wedding trip
to northern Wisconsin.
Guests at the wedding were from Waukegan, Ill.,
Marshfield, Greenwood, Hannibal, Willard, Owen, Sheldon, Rhinelander, Loyal,
Irma, and King.
