Joyce (Vandeberg) Richmond (Marriage - 21 August
1971)
Joyce Vandeberg Richmond became the bride of Gale Oldham Saturday,
August 21, at a 2 p.m. ceremony performed at the United Methodist Church at
Christie by the Rev. Eugene Antrim. Baskets of gladioli decorated the church for
the private, double-ring ceremony.
“O Perfect Love” was sung by the Rev.
and Mrs. Antrim and Jim Antrim.
The new Mrs. Oldham is the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Vandeberg. Her husband is the son of Mr and Mrs. Ray
Oldham of Rt. 2 Neillsville.
For her marriage, the bride chose a
long-sleeved street-length, A-line dress of embroidered turquoise lace over
white taffeta. Her corsage was fashioned of red roses and white carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess Richmond, Granton, attended the couple. The
matron-of-honor, the bride’s sister, wore a street-length dress of gold embossed
taffeta. Her corsage was made up of bronze mums.
The bride’s home on Rt.
3 Neillsville was the scene later of a wedding reception, dinner and dance for
450 guests.
The newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 3 Neillsville.
