Frenette, Joan Marie
(Marriage - 13 August 1971)
Miss Joan Marie Frenette and William G.
L’Heureux were married August 13 at 2 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in
Thorp. The Francis Brockman officiated at the ceremony which united the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Frenette of Thorp and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
L’Heureux of St. Paul, Minn.
Gabrille Rezer was the vocal soloist.
Organist was Robin Huls. Nuptial mass servers were William and Jeffrey Frenette,
brothers of the bride.
For her marriage, the new Mrs. L’Heureux chose an
ivory satin gown trimmed with seed pearl-beaded, rose-design appliqués. Her
short veil was held by a crown headpiece which featured a seed pearl design.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Leon Bogumill. Best man was Carolos Garay of
St. Paul.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s grandmother,
Mrs. Leon Bogumill, in Thorp.
The bride is a graduate of Thorp High
School. She also attended Patricia Stevens and Marquette University, and has
been employed in Thorp. The groom, a graduate of St. Paul Senior High School, is
a veteran of four years service in the navy.
The couple will lie in St.
Paul following their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.
