Lesnjak, Mike (2 OCT 1875 - 28 SEP 1952)
Mike Lesnjak was born Oct.
2, 1875 at Slovenia, Yugoslavia and came to the United States the first time in
1901 and the second time in 1902, and worked in the mines in Uniontown, Pa. and
Silver Springs, New York. He later went to Waukegan, Ill., and in 1910 came with
the Gregor Seliskar family to Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), where he has since
resided.
He has been ill since June and passed away at the Clark County
Hospital, Owen, on Sunday, Sept. 28, 1952 at 4:30 a.m.
A Requiem Mass was
read at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
The Rev. Father Augustine Svete officiated, and he was laid to rest in the
Catholic Cemetery at Willard.
All of his immediate relatives reside in
Yugoslavia.
The pallbearers were: J.S. Trunkel, Blaz Cohara, John Horvat,
Frank Lamovec, John Trunkel Jr., Matt Malnar.
