Humbird (26 August 1971)

Robert Wittren of Largo, Fla., visited at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Jenswold, last week. He came with his son and family the Jack Wittrens of Rochester, Minn.

The local Rebekah Lodge members met in the park Tuesday for their annual picnic dinner.

Mrs. Ida Holman and Joyce Bredesen of Osseo are spending a few days visiting at the home of Mrs. Holman’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Matti were in Neillsville Thursday and stopped to visit a short time with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierce.

Mrs. Helene Nelson and Mrs. Hilda Schneider of Eau Claire had dinner Sunday and spent the afternoon with Mrs. Nelson’s mother, Mr. Maude Newton.

Mr and Mrs. Perle Picket are visiting his sister in Oregon and taking a trip through the western states.

Dale Dignin of Ottumwa, Ia., called Wednesday at the home of his uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Losey of Fairchild and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe drove to Willard Sunday to have dinner at the Catholic Church.

Herb Adler has been spending several days at his home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Duerkop and little daughter of Stevens Point spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop.

Mr. and Mrs. Charley Fees returned Thursday evening from a trip through some of the Midwestern states. They were accompanied by one of their grandchildren, Donna Walker. They visited a number of parks and interesting places.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stuve spent Sunday evening with Miss Hattie Stuve at Price.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zimmerman left by plane Saturday for Portland, Ore., where they will visit at the Chester Stanley home and points of interest in the west.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Losey of Fairchild were Sunday afternoon and luncheon guests at the Henry Laffe home.

Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice were in Neillsville Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charley Fees were in Eau Claire on business Monday.

Mrs. Emma Gerber and Mrs. Frieda Zerbel called Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Minnie Nelson.

Joe Todd and Mrs. Ruth Flannigan of Sebeka, Minn., returned home Monday after several days’ visit at the home of their brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kirby.
