Gall, Alex Luis (21 September 1911 - 28 August 1971)

Funeral services for Alex Luis Gall, 59, of Neillsville, who died August 28 at his home, are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon, September 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles D. Brady of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate and burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Alex Gall, the son of Edward and Martha (Scheel) Gall, was born September 21, 1911, at Park Falls. He was educated there and in Neillsville schools. Mr. Gall came to Neillsville with his parents when he was about 10 years old.

After the death of his brother, Archie Gall, he took over the operation of his brother’s tavern. He also operated the first liquor store in Neillsville. Mr. Gall was employed for several years by the Clark County Highway Department. He retired due to an accident in 1963. His marriage to the former Kathlyn Carlton took place October 25, 1938, in Waukon, Ia.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two children, Mrs. Maynard (Sharron) Prock of Bettendorf, Ia., and Thomas Gall, at home; two brothers, Ervin Gall of Owen and Donald Gall of Neillsville; and four grandchildren.
